No matter the kind of emotional hell you're in right now, there’s a way through.

Living in a nightmare? Overwhelmed? Barely surviving?

We’ve been there too. Whether it’s suicidal thoughts, addiction, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, or grief—you’ve got choices here. We’re a non‑profit community, everything here is free.

My grief didn't disappear, it morphed into life. Thanks to my chosen community and chosen family, I am not only surviving, but I'm thriving. Iden Community Member

Lived Experience

Each of our team members have lived experience. We’ve been where you are now, feeling what you’re feeling. We’ve learned from our experiences. Sharing our stories has helped us, and we think it can do the same for you. We care about you and want to hear your story.

Now Matters Now helped me feel less alone and gave me the courage to work on getting better. Eric Community Member

Connection

We host online meetings where all the people have gone through, or are going through, similar emotional misery. During these meetings, we share our personal stories of challenges and progress toward building meaningful lives. We learn and practice mental health skills together. Participation is always voluntary. You can share or just listen, no pressure.

It is hard to be happy without a life worth living. This is a fundamental tenet of DBT. Of course, all lives are worth living in reality. No life is not worth living. Marsha Linehan Psychologist and Creator of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

Our Rationale

Our skills are rooted in Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills (DBT). Research shows DBT helps those of us struggling with suicidal thoughts and intense emotions, but it can be hard to find. We’re trying to make DBT skills available to people right now, whenever they need them most—which is the inspiration for our name, Now Matters Now. This is our philosophy. It’s in these moments of suffering when we all need help and don’t want to be alone. Please join us.
